The importance of creativity in my life
For me, creativity is more than just an activity - it's a way to express myself, to leave everyday life behind and to reflect in my own way. Whether I'm writing, making music, painting abstractly with acrylics or renovating and redesigning rooms for myself and friends - these are all ways in which I bring my creative ideas into the world. I also love finding new inspiration in exhibitions or following others who use their creativity as a counterbalance to everyday life. There are many accounts, for example on Instagram, that express their creativity in this way. Creativity is a way to feel free, to discover new perspectives and to organize my thoughts and feelings in a way that I often cannot grasp with words alone.
What is creativity for me?
Creativity is not just a skill, but a way of thinking and living. It means being open to new things, experimenting courageously and creating something extraordinary out of everyday things. I often find myself in a state of creative activity in which I forget time and can be completely absorbed in the moment. When I paint or make music, I feel like I am in a "flow", a state of complete immersion that gives me peace and energy at the same time.
For me, creativity is not just limited to art. It can be expressed in everyday things - be it the way I design a space, the way I put my thoughts on paper, or the way I find a new approach to work. For me, being creative means looking at life with open eyes and seeing in everything an opportunity for expression and redesign.
Creativity as an outlet for feelings and thoughts
When I am creative, it helps me to process feelings and thoughts that I often cannot express so easily in other ways. Creating an abstract painting with acrylic paints sometimes brings exactly what I am feeling onto the canvas without the need for words. Especially in stressful times or when everyday life becomes too much for me, being creative gives me a chance to let go and find inner peace. It is an outlet that allows me to bring my inner world to the outside, be it through a piece of music, a written text or a redesigned room.
Through creative activity, I am constantly discovering new sides of myself. When I write or paint, I often discover thoughts and feelings that are hidden deep within me. It is a bit like a personal reflection that I express through colors, sounds or words. It helps me to recognize myself better and to organize emotions that concern me and transform them into something positive.
Creativity as a Language of Expression
For me, creativity is a language of its own, with which I can say things that I cannot put into words. A picture, a melody or a designed space can sometimes express more than a whole text. But I love playing with words. The German language in particular has so many facets and ways of expressing oneself. But it is not just words that fascinate me, but also music and art. That is why I also enjoy going to concerts or exhibitions. I get inspired by the expression of others.
That's why I like to follow creative people on social media who follow similar paths. This way you can reach people and give them inspiration and food for thought in a slightly different way.

Creativity as Freedom and Courage
For me, creativity also means freedom and the courage to simply try things out. When I paint or write, I often let myself drift without having a clear goal in mind. It's not about creating something perfect, but simply being there and being open to what comes. Being creative teaches me to accept myself - with all my rough edges. It reminds me that beauty often lies in imperfection.
This freedom is something I value very much. It sometimes takes courage to express yourself in this way, especially when you feel like your work is not "good enough". But I have learned that creativity lies precisely in valuing my own view of the world and sharing it without fear.

How I integrate creativity into my everyday life
In everyday life I try to create small creative moments for myself. Sometimes I just paint for a few minutes, write down a few thoughts or play a few notes on the piano. Designing my home or remodeling a friend's house is also a way for me to be creative. I need these moments because they help me to stay connected to myself and to tackle everyday life with fresh energy and a clear head.
Creativity makes me feel like I can move freely in my own world. It's like a safe space that I can always return to to recharge or just be.
Conclusion: Creativity as my personal expression
For me, creativity is much more than just a skill or a hobby. It is a way of thinking, feeling and creating life. It gives me the courage to show my inner world and the freedom to make mistakes and discover new things. In a hectic world, it offers me space for calm and reflection, a way to understand myself better while sharing my thoughts and feelings with others. I believe that creativity is in each of us - we just need to have the courage to discover it and embrace it.
